OPP request public assistance to identify persons and vehicles of interest

Officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the public’s assistance to identify both the males and the pickup trucks involved in the theft of two boats from North Country Marine in Inverary.

According to the OPP, the theft occurred on Sunday, Jun. 2, 2019 when, after 11 p.m., two pickup trucks arrived at the front gate of the business. Three males were caught on video surveillance gaining access to the property, and then stealing two boats. The two pickup trucks then left the business and headed southbound on Perth Road.

The first pickup truck is believed to be a Chevrolet Silverado. The second pickup truck is believed to be an older model GMC, possibly beige in colour, and also had a chrome step-up on the side of the vehicle.

The stolen boats are:

  • A 2013 South Bay Pontoon, model 522SL with a Mercury 150 horsepower motor. This boat was being towed on a Hoosier trailer.
  • A 2019 Legend, model F19 with 2019 Motor guide motor. This boat was being towed on a 2018 Shore lander trailer.

Anyone with information regarding person(s) responsible should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122. Tips can also be made anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
