OPP report missing woman located deceased

The investigation into a missing woman from Stone Mills Township has come to a tragic conclusion, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On Monday, Mar. 23, 2020, the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the OPP issued a request for public assistance in locating a missing woman, Susan Barbara Wosik, of Stone Mills. At that time, Wosik had last been heard from the on Sunday, Mar. 22, 2020, but a police welfare check later that day found that she was not at home. Police indicated they were concerned for her well-being.

During the search, the OPP underwater search and rescue team was deployed. According to the OPP, the search for Wosik concluded when the body of a woman was located in a body of water in the Croydon area of Stone Mills on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. The body has since been confirmed to be Wosik.
