OPP report fatal structure fire in Stone Mills

A structure fire in the early morning hours has claimed the life of one man in Stone Mills Township, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

The Lennox and Addington County OPP responded to a fully-engulfed structure fire at a recreational property on Neville Point Road in the early hours of Friday, May. 1, 2020. Stone Mills Fire and Rescue and the Lennox and Addington County Paramedics also attended the scene, and a male party was located in the debris and pronounced deceased.

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office and the Lennox and Addington County OPP Crime Unit are currently investigating the fire and subsequent fatality. The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time pending confirmation.
