OPP lay impaired driving charges after single-vehicle collision on Round Lake Road

Officers from the South Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the scene of a single-vehicle collision on Round Lake Road in South Frontenac Township.
At 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, officers responded to the report of a single motor vehicle collision. According to a release from OPP, the investigation of the crash scene indicated that the driver of the motor vehicle collided with a couple of mailboxes then left the road and came to rest in front of a rock-cut. The driver sustained no injuries.
As a result of the investigation Julie Nontell, age 46, of South Frontenac has been charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Nontell had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle towed and impounded for seven days. They were released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston in January 2022. Nontell is responsible for all related fees and fines.
