OPP lay impaired driving charge after collision

A South Frontenac Township resident was arrested and charged at the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Road 38 in South Frontenac Township.

Just after 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, members from The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Frontenac Detachment responded to the motor vehicle collision, according to a release from OPP, dated Thursday, Jul. 22, 2021.

OPP said officers arrived at the scene, spoke with the driver, and an approved screening device was administered. As a result, the driver was arrested and taken back to detachment for further testing.

John POSADOWSKI, age 59 from South Frontenac Township, was arrested and charged with:  

  • Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Posadowski was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston in August, 2021. His driver’s licence was suspended for ninety days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
