OPP lay charges in historical sexual assault incidents

The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged an individual in connection with historical sexual offences.
On Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, Leeds OPP responded to a report of an historical sexual assault that occurred in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, according to a release from OPP, dated Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020.
As a result of the investigation, a Lansdowne resident has been charged with:
- Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age – five counts
- Sexual Interference – three counts
OPP say the accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville at a future date.
