OPP investigating tractor trailer collision in Napanee

On March 17, 2020 just after 6 A.M. officers of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the OPP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Palace Rd in Greater Napanee near the 401 Palace Road exit. 

 A tractor trailer carrying liquid asphalt lost control and came to rest on its side in the south ditch near the Palace road 401 exit ramps. OPP say an undetermined amount of liquid asphalt spilled into the ditch. The lone driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. 

The 401 Palace road on and off ramps are closed and Palace road after Cardiff lane remains closed while police investigate. The investigation remains ongoing by L&A County OPP and the Ministry of Environment.

    This is not a collision, since it involved only one vehicle. Very misleading.
    I hope for a follow-up with details, as it’s disturbing that this large vehicle went “out of control”?!!

      A single vehicle collision is still a collision.
