OPP investigating fatal fire in Bath

A fire in Bath, Ontario, claimed one life on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Loyalist Fire Department responded to the fire at a residence in Bath. Reports indicated that Heritage Drive was closed at Highway 33 for a period of time on Sunday afternoon.

According to a release from the OPP, one occupant made it to safety and one person was found to be deceased. An investigation is ongoing by the Lennox and Addington County OPP in conjunction with the Office of the Regional Coroner and the Ontario Fire Marshal.
