OPP investigating after occupied ice fishing shelters struck by truck

Two men are lucky to have escaped with only minor injuries after a pickup truck ran into their ice huts, which were set up on a lake north of Kingston.
The Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the collision which took place on Sand Lake, just west of Frontenac Provincial Park. Officers responded to a call regarding the collision at 1 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019
According to the OPP, a pickup truck was driven onto the ice where it struck two small, nylon ice fishing shelters. One of the males was knocked unconscious in the incident, and the second male, who wasn’t seriously injured, drove the victim to hospital. Both were treated for minor injuries and later released.
Investigators are looking for a light-coloured pick-up truck which fled the scene.
