Update: Located deceased – OPP, Greater Napanee Emergency Services searching for missing man, dog

According to the Ontario Provincial Police, Mark Badgley, 56, of Napanee has been located deceased.

The Lennox & Addington detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and firefighters with Greater Napanee Emergency Services (GNES) are looking for a local man who has been missing since Friday morning.
“56-year-old Mark Badgley was last seen in the early morning of Feb. 10 near County Road 9 and Little Creek Road in Napanee,” said OPP in an alert. Badgley is believed to have gone hiking with his dog Teegan, a German Shepherd.
As part of the investigation, Greater Napanee Emergency Services have been searching the waterway near County Road 9 since Friday after a hole was allegedly discovered in the ice. Crews temporarily halted the search overnight and continued again through the daylight on Saturday.

Badgley is described as being 5’7” tall, weighing 145 pounds, with short salt and pepper hair.
Police say he was possibly wearing a tanned Carhartt jacket, black and gold snowmobile gloves, jeans, and black snowmobile boots.
