OPP execute warrant in Napanee, seize cocaine and fentanyl

A search warrant was executed by Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the L&A County OPP at a residence in Greater Napanee on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021.

According to a release from OPP dated Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, police arrested two people at the scene and seized a quantity of illegal drugs along with a replica firearm.

Police seized suspected Cocaine and Fentanyl along with nearly $1400 dollars in Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia, according to the release. 

As a result of the investigation OPP have laid the following charges:

Patrick MacDonald, age 40, of Greater Napanee has been charged with:

  • Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Reshaun Smith-Boland, age 21, of Ajax, has been charged with:

  • Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking; and
  • Resist Police Officer.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee in March 2021.
