A South Frontenac resident has been charged after the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant earlier this week.

According to a release from the Frontenac OPP, the search warrant was executed on Tuesday, Jul. 2, 2024, at a residence in South Frontenac Township.

“The officers located and seized a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) worth approximately $28,000, that was reported stolen from a residence in South Frontenac Township on July 01, 2024. All seized property has been returned to the owner,” OPP detailed.

As a result of that investigation, Joshua Carter, age 39, of South Frontenac Township, was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, over $5,000.

The OPP stated that Carter was released from custody and is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston in August 2024.
