Update: Identified – OPP asking for public assistance to identify deceased person

Update (Friday, May 12, 2023):
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are thanking the public for their assistance in identifying the male who passed away as the result of a collision in Sydenham, South Frontenac Township, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, just after 10 p.m.
The collision occurred on Sydenham Road near Railton Road when the deceased male, who was on foot, was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene, however, the OPP requested public assistance to identify the male.
The deceased male has now been identified, the OPP said in a press release at 4:20 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023.
Kingstonist has followes up with the OPP to inquire as to whether police will be releasing the identity of the deceased, which was not included in the OPP press release issued on May 12.

The Frontenac County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public’s assistance to identify a deceased person, the victim of a motor vehicle collision on Sydenham Road, north of Kingston.
OPP say that the collision occurred on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, shortly after 10 p.m. The victim was on foot on Sydenham Road near Railton Road at the time of the collision. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OPP are describing the male as Caucasian, in his mid-twenties, with a thin build, red hair, and a red goatee. OPP say he had no tattoos or noticeable scars.
Any person with information regarding the male is asked to contact Frontenac OPP at 613-372-1932.
Don’t tell me he walked on the right side of the road, as I see so many people do!
