OPP advise of wanted federal offender

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad is requesting assistance to locate 54-year-old Marc Poulin, a federal offender currently wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant.

Poulin is wanted as a result of his breach of statutory release, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a press release on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023. He is currently serving a two-year and 12-day sentence for seven counts of theft under $5,000, failure to comply with a probation order, and failure to comply with an order by being at large.

“The offender is known to frequent Ottawa and Toronto in Ontario, as well as Gatineau and Montreal in Quebec,” the OPP said.

Poulin is described as being a Caucasian male standing 5’7” (171 cm) tall and weighing 169 lbs (77 kg), with grey hair and hazel eyes. He has scars on his left arm, his back, and on both legs, according to police.

Anyone who has contact with Poulin or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the ROPE Squad at 416-808-5900, or toll-free at 1-866-870-7673 (ROPE). Tips can also be called in to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Alternatively, those who may see or have contact with Poulin can call 911, police said.
