Open alcohol, drugs located in vehicle after novice stopped for stunt driving

A driver from Grafton, Ontario is facing multiple charges after officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 401 in Napanee.

According to a release from the OPP, after stopping the vehicle, officers saw that the driver appeared to be showing signs of impairment.
As a result, L&A County OPP arrested and charged Dryden Liboiron-Minifie, age 19, of Grafton, Ontario, with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero
- Race a motor vehicle

Liboiron-Minifie was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee in April 2022. Their licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. Liboiron-Minifie will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
Hope this kid learns a lesson! An expensive one to boot! Years ago I worked for a psychologist and she dealt with addiction issues. One of her clients told me it had cost him over $3,000 for fines, fees, installation of a breathalyser in his car (it registered everything above zero, even if it had been consumed hours before). By the time he had finished his sentence for his THIRD DUI! it had cost upwards of $7,000 (he had to pay out of pocket for seeing my boss at $200/hour!)
Of all the things one should learn really young the main one is to NOT to drink/do drugs while driving. Especially not now where the punishment is severe!
