Ongoing cocaine investigation ends in arrest for three local males

Three local males have been arrested in connection with an ongoing Kingston Police investigation into cocaine trafficking.

Members of the Kingston Police Drug Unit, K9 Unit and the Emergency Response Unit assisted with the execution of drug search warrants at two locations on Wellington and Ontario Streets on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021. The investigation was led by the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit. According to a release from Kingston Police, three males were arrested and found to be in possession of a large quantity of Cocaine, MDMA, Xanax, Codeine, LSD, Oxycontin, Psilocybin mushrooms, Hash, THC Oil, Cannabis edibles, and processed cannabis.

Kingston Police said officers also located evidence of drug trafficking and a large amount of Canadian currency. The total value of the seizure was approximately $600,000.

Matthew Campbell, 23, Matthew Wildsmith, 22 and Krittanai Vongsuttachit, 27, all from Kingston, were jointly charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking the above-mentioned substances as well as possessing proceeds of crime over $5000.
