“We are deeply saddened by Micah’s passing and extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He was a friend to many and a hard worker with a positive attitude who was always willing to help others,” said Dennis Brady, Novelis Kingston Plant Manager. “An investigation is underway so that we can fully understand the cause of this tragic event. We temporarily shut down operations at the plant and have engaged with counselors to provide support to our employees.”

The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development confirmed that the incident – which reportedly involved a high-voltage electrocution – had taken place, and that an inspector has been assigned to the case. That investigation is on-going, according to the Ministry.
