Nominations open for MP Gerretsen’s Platinum Jubilee Pin Awards

In celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, MP Mark Gerretsen’s office is looking for members of the community to nominate constituents who have demonstrated Her Majesty’s qualities of public service, dedication, and commitment to bettering our community and deserve to be recognized as such.

Having experienced a difficult two years of the pandemic as a community, the MP’s office said that they look forward to the opportunity to read about and recognize those in our community who have gone above and beyond in caring for those around them.

“Throughout her long reign, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has consistently demonstrated the qualities of public service, dedication, and sacrifice,” Gerretsen expressed. “In order to celebrate this Jubilee milestone; I am delighted for the opportunity to invite community members to nominate those among us who have demonstrated similar qualities. I look forward to learning about and celebrating these nominees who work tirelessly to enhance our community and make it a better place for all.”

MP Gerretsen’s office will be accepting nominations from May 23 to Jun. 13, 2022, after which 40 upstanding citizens will be selected to receive the limited addition Platinum Jubilee pin along with congratulations from MP Gerretsen, according to a media release.

To nominate a community member, constituents are asked to fill out the online form posted on Gettersen’s website or stop by the constituency office at 841 Princess Street to fill out a paper submission.

The final winners will be announced on Monday, June 20, 2022.
