Nominations are now open for Champions of Gananoque

The call for nominations for Champions of Gananoque is currently open, and the Town of Gananoque is encouraging the community to nominate individuals who, through volunteerism, have a direct impact on recreational and competitive sports in Gananoque. Three individuals will be chosen to receive the award through the nomination process.
According to a release from the town, by nominating an individual, you are helping to raise awareness of the vital role that volunteers play. These awards were created to recognize volunteers that help advance the development of sports and recreation at the community level, the Town stated.
“Over the course of the past two years, our community, like many others have faced challenges head-on. These awards provide a great opportunity for us to celebrate our resiliency and recognize the volunteers that have contributed hours of service towards recreation/sports activities for children and youth,” stated Doug Wark, Manager of Community Services for the Town of Gananoque. “Our volunteers are essential to the success of our sport/recreation programming here in Town. These volunteers have a direct impact on the positive health of our community. We are so very pleased to be able to help recognize their contribution.”
