No injuries in camper rollover on 401

The 401 westbound was severely delayed for several hours on Friday afternoon after a truck hauling a camper trailer jackknifed and the camper rolled over into the median near Highway 15 at around 2:30 p.m.

Delays on the 401 westbound were estimated at over an hour at times, as OPP had to close two of the highway’s three lanes in that area to allow for cleanup. Eastbound lanes also experienced delays due to construction and curious passersby.

Fortunately, there were no injuries, say OPP, but the camper was completely destroyed in the crash and had to be dismantled by a cleanup crew before being hauled away. The roadway was completely reopened by about 4:30 p.m.
