Nine arrested from multiple jurisdictions following execution of drug warrant in Trenton

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged seven people following a controlled drugs and substances act investigation.
On Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) of Quinte West and Central Hastings, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Bay Street in Trenton, according to a release from OPP.
Additionally, two separate vehicle stops were conducted in relation to the investigation and in total, nine people were arrested, two of which were released unconditionally. A quantity of suspected cocaine and Percocets, as well as two weapons, were seized, according to the release.
Jessie Draker, 40 years old of Quinte West and Ronald McCloskey, 39 years old of Loyalist Township have been charged with the following offences:
- Possess schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine;
- Possess proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000; and
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose – two counts.
Police also charged Draker with two counts of failure to comply with a release order. Both accused were held in custody and were scheduled to appear for bail on October 19, 2021.
Tyler Daines, 31 years old of Quinte West, Shannon Hartman, 37 years old of Tyendinaga First Nation and Kendra Sherbert, 26 years old of Frontenac County have been charged with the following:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine; and
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.
Additionally, Daines has been charged with
- Possession of a schedule I substance – Percocets; and
- Failing to comply with a probation order – four counts.
Sherbert has also been charged with Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine.
Hartman and Sherbert were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville in November 2021. Daines was held in custody and was scheduled to appear for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on October 19, 2021.
Kenneth Phillips, 42 years old of Quinte West has been charged with failure to comply with an undertaking and Steven Courneyea, 45 years old of Ottawa has been charged with five counts of failing to comply with a release order. Both accused were held for bail and were scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 19, 2021.
