Nighttime Santa Claus Parade to return to Kingston

With the Province of Ontario lifting the crowd capacities for outdoor events this week, the previously cancelled Santa Claus will now take place next month.

The Nighttime Santa Claus Parade will now proceed on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, beginning at 5 p.m. According to the City of Kingston and the Downtown Kingston! BIA, the parade will travel down Princess Street from Bath Road to Ontario Street.

“This year’s parade is expected to be shorter, as there will be a limited number of entries. Information for applications will be available at www.downtownkingston.ca,” the BIA said, who also sent along a message from merry ol’ St. Nick himself!

“The Kingston parade is one of my favorites,” said Santa. “I travel the world and participate in numerous parades, but there’s something about the nighttime twinkle and the lovely people in Kingston that makes this the highlight of the season for both me and Mrs. Claus. We missed you last year and can’t wait to see all of your smiling eyes – just remember to stay a safe distance from your neighbours as you watch the parade and wear a mask!”
