New interactive Frontenac App rewards users for shopping local

The Frontenac County Economic Development Team has released an interactive map app, intended to promote businesses along the Frontenac section of the K&P Trail, and across Frontenac County.
The Frontenac App features county businesses such as the Sydenham Country Café, Nicole’s Gifts, and the Cardinal Café & Shop. According to a release from Frontenac County, app users are rewarded for exploring the trail.
By setting up an account, users can collect points and redeem rewards at participating businesses. “Collect as you explore and cash-in on discounts and goodies at your favourite local places,” the County stated, suggesting users try some new places, too.
The Frontenac App features an interactive map that makes planning trips and exploring the Frontenac area easy, according to the release. Simply click “Explore” and users can browse all their favourite local Frontenac businesses. Users can search by category to narrow-down options and share their favourite places on their personal social media channels, the county stated.
“The Frontenac App is an important step in the County’s plan to encourage collaboration in our community,” said Richard Allen, Manager of Economic Development. “This is a great chance to explore the trails, get to know local businesses, and give back to Frontenac County.”
Launching today, Monday, Jun. 27, 2022, the Frontenac App is available for download on the App Store or Google Play for any type of device.
According to the release, the Frontenac App offers opportunities to encourage loyalty, engage new customers, and move trail users around Frontenac County and into businesses. The County said it’s an opportunity to collaborate with local businesses.
