New COVID-19 case identified in Queen’s University community

On Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, Queen’s University updated their COVID-19 case tracking dashboard to indicate one new positive case in the Queen’s community.
The case, which was identified off-campus, is the second such positive test within the week.
Since the end of August, there have been 27 confirmed cases in the Queen’s University community, or 45 per cent of Kingston’s 60 total cases during that same period. Nine of the cases in the Queen’s community have been identified in residence, while 18 of them were identified off-campus.
During periods in which the community is in a “Green” overall community status, KFL&A Public Health does not update its dashboard on weekends. As of Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, KFL&A Public Health was reporting nine active cases in the region.
