A Napanee man is facing charges after OPP responded to a report of an erratic driver on westbound Highway 401 on the night of Friday, May 7, 2021.
Police with the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say that once the driver was pulled over near the Greater Napanee exit, he was showing signs of impairment and officers administered a roadside test with an Approved Screening Device.
The driver was arrested and brought to the detachment.
Police say 66-year-old Joseph Green of Greater Napanee was charged with Operation While Impaired and Operating a motor vehicle while over the legal blood alcohol limit.
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on May 25, 2021. His license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days, and Green will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
