Napanee collision involving tractor results in ‘life-altering injuries’
Two people have been left with “serious injuries” after a collision in Napanee over the weekend, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

The collision, which involved a car with two people inside and a farming tractor with a lone driver, occurred on Saturday, Jul. 9, 2022, just after 2 p.m. The car and the tractor collided on South Shore Road near Concession Road 3 and Quaker Hill Road. Frontenac Paramedic Services, Greater Napanee Fire Services, Lennox and Addington EMS, and Loyalist Fire and Rescue attended the scene, where two people – those who were driving in the car – were quickly assessed and rushed to hospital.

According to the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County OPP, the two occupants of the car sustained “serious, life-altering injuries.” The tractor driver suffered minor injuries, as well, the OPP said in a press release on Monday, Jul. 11, 2022. OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the scene as part of the subsequent investigation into the collision.
“GNES (Greater Napanee Emergency Services) and crews from Loyalist extricated 2 patients from this scene road still closed with OPP investigation ongoing. Thanks to OPP Loyalist and EMS,” said Greater Napanee Deputy Fire Chief Bill Hammond on Twitter.



The roadway in the area remained closed well into the night on Saturday, Jul. 9, 2022. Currently, the collision remains under investigation, the OPP said.
