Motorcyclist seriously injured in Perth Road collision

The Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they are continuing to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022.

“On November 5, 2022, just after 1:00 p.m., officers, along with South Frontenac Fire Rescue and Frontenac Paramedic Services responded to a collision involving a single motorcycle on Perth Road in South Frontenac Township,” OPP said in a release.

According to OPP, the 70-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital by Ornge helicopter.

“Frontenac OPP continues to investigate with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and a collision Reconstructionist,” OPP said.

Perth Road was closed to traffic from Roushorn Road to Tett Crescent during the investigation. The roadway reopened about seven hours later, shortly after 8:00 p.m.
