Most winter term programs at SLC will have on-campus components

Today, Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, St. Lawrence College (SLC) has confirmed that when classes begin in January, 80 per cent of its programs will have an in-person, on-campus component.
“Our intent was to increase activity and programming on campus this school year, and based on updates from the Ontario government, we may proceed and expand capacity in terms of how many students, employees, and visitors can be on campus or in an SLC facility at any one time,” said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO.
In September, the college announced their COVID-19 vaccination policy for their campuses and said that they were running a mix of in-person, on-campus programming and courses delivered via various methods for the fall term, which included a mix of offsite, online, and alternative delivery.
Anyone coming to an SLC campus must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption and negative rapid antigen test result from within 72 hours of coming to campus, according to the college. Public health requirements like masking and active screening at specific campus entry points will remain.
