LOCATED: South Frontenac OPP seeking assistance to locate missing male

UPDATE (11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2021):
South Frontenac OPP have located Matthew Pederson.
According to a media release, Pederson was located safe and taken by Frontenac Paramedics to the hospital for observation. Officers from the Frontenac OPP Detachment, OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit also assisted with the search.
Frontenac OPP would like to thank the public for sharing information and providing leads to his location.

The South Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has released the above image and is asking for assistance in locating a missing 19-year-old male from South Frontenac Township.
According to a release from the OPP, Matthew Pederson was last seen on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m., in Verona, South Frontenac Township. Police and family are concerned for his well-being, OPP said.
Pederson is described as a white male, approximately 165cm (5’4”) tall and 45kg (100 lbs). He was last seen wearing a grey winter jacket, black boots, possibly wearing sweat pants, according to OPP.
