Update: Missing Amherstview child located
Update (Friday, Mar. 4, 2022)
On the night of Thursday, Mar. 3, 2022, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) confirmed that Tilden Connaster, 13, of Amherstview, has now been located safely.
Tilden was originally reported missing on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, having last been seen the day before. After a reported sighting of the youth, the OPP mistakenly announced Tilden had been located, however, the child was only seen, and had not been safely reunited with his family. The OPP released an updated press release on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, clarifying that the teen was still missing.
As those in the community continued to keep an eye open for the boy, Tilden was located and the OPP are expressing gratitude for the community effort and support.
“The youth has now been found safe. L&A County OPP would like to thank the public for their assistance,” police said in a press release on Thursday, Mar. 3, 2022.
Update (Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022)
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have confirmed that Tilden Connaster, 13, is still missing, having been reported missing on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022.
On that date, the OPP mistakenly reported that Tilden had been located, however, the youth was only spotted, and was not reunited with his family.
Today, the OPP have released another photo of Tilden, who was last seen on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, when he left his family home in Amherstview. Tilden also goes by the last names Conatser or Rochon, the OPP said, and has family ties to Amherstview and Kingston.
Tilden is described as a white male youth standing approximately 157 cm (5’2”) tall and weighing 54 kg (120 lbs), with brown hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black winter coat and a black toque.
Anyone having contact with Tilden, or with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the L&A County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
ORIGINAL: Officers of the Lennox & Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old male from Amherstview.
OPP say that Tilden Connaster ( also may go by the last names of Conatser or Rochon) was last seen on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022 when he left his family home in Amherstview.
OPP say he is believed to be in the Kingston area. Connaster is described by OPP as a white male, approximately 157cm (5’2”) tall and weighing 54kg (120lbs). He has brown hair and blue eyes. OPP say his hair is longer now, with bangs down to his eyebrows, as the picture is from 2019. He was last seen wearing a black winter coat, black track pants, black toque and black boots.
