Missing man located in Kaladar by OPP Aviation Services

An 84-year-old man who’s gone missing for hours was thankfully located in Kaladar by the OPP Aviation Services: Helicopter Section.

The Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of the missing male at approximately 7:34 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023. According to a release from the OPP, the male had gone hunting by himself at 10 a.m. that day and did not return home.

“The male was reported missing by his son and local fire chief when they located the male’s vehicle on Highway 7 along the side of the road. A search was commenced by members of the L&A County OPP, the OPP ERT team, and the OPP Aviation Services: Helicopter Section,” the OPP stated.

At 11:06 p.m. the male was located by the OPP Helicopter and taken to EMS who were standing by at the scene. According to the release, the male was uninjured and returned home to his family.

The OPP East Region notified the public of the missing person via X, but did not issue any press releases. The OPP would like to thank members of the public for the assistance provided during the incident.
