Men charged with Attempted Murder after Millhaven incident

A joint forces investigation involving members with the Ontario Provincial Police, Kingston Police Service, with the assistance of Correctional Services Canada members have charged three men in custody with attempted murder on a 21 year old inmate.
On August 3, 2018 an investigation began after an incident at Millhaven Institution in Loyalist Township.
As a result of the investigation Don Johnson, 24-years-old, has been charged with attempted murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Jerry Lewis, 21-years-old, and Manpreet Singh, 25-years-old, have both been charged with being a party to the offence of attempted murder.
The three men appeared on August 10, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice of Justice, Provincial Division in Napanee to answer to their charges.
Members of the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad along with members of Correctional Services of Canada are continuing the investigation.
