It’s the perfect time of year to start digging into your garden plans — or into your garden itself, depending on what you’re growing! Gardeners often find themselves with surplus plants, or are looking to add something new to their outdoor spaces. With the Kingston Horticultural Society and the Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) they can do exactly that.

KFPL will host the From the Ground Up Plant Swap in the Cataraqui Room at the Isabel Turner Branch. Bring some plants and leave with new ones on Saturday, Jun. 4, 2022. Registrants will set up starting at 1:30 p.m. and everyone can swap from 2 to 3 p.m., according to a release from the library.

“Kingston is lucky to have such a vibrant gardening community,” said Jake Miller, Librarian, Adult Programming. “KFPL and the Kingston Horticultural Society welcome all the green thumbs who have something to exchange. This is a great opportunity to learn from others and make connections in the growing community as the weather warms up!”

KFPL said that space is limited. Register online at https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/6552992
