Loyalist Township conducts emergency response training

Loyalist Township is advising of an emergency response training exercise taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, and would like to public to know an increased presence of emergency responders is no cause for alarm.
The training exercise, which will test the municipality’s emergency response plan, will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in partnership with Midstream LPG at 384 County Road 4.
“This multi-agency training exercise will test processes, procedures and build collaborative efforts with local agencies. Residents are advised that simulated response elements will be conducted in the area,” Loyalist Township said in a press release on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019.
“There is no need to call 9-1-1 if residents see first responders on scene during the scenario.”
The Township advises that motorists might experience lane reductions on County Road 4 between Millhaven Road and Bath Road during the exercise.
