Princess Street closed to traffic Saturday for Love Kingston Sidewalk Sale

This Saturday, Sept. 12th, 2020, Princess Street will be closed to traffic to allow Love Kingston Marketplace to hold a Sidewalk Sale in support of downtown businesses.
This safe and fun shopping experience will be a day-long event, running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Princess Street will be closed to vehicles from Division Street to Ontario Street. Traffic may cross Princess Street at Barrie Street, Bagot Street, and Ontario Street.
According to a release from Downtown Kingston!, dated Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, participating businesses will have hand sanitization available. Patrons and stores are encouraged but not required to wear a mask outside, and masks are required inside. Shoppers are encouraged to maintain physical distancing based on KFL&A Public Health guidelines.
Streets will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to allow for set-up and tear-down, DK! said in the release. Side streets between Ontario St. and Division St. (except for Barrie Street, Bagot Street, and Ontario Street) will also be closed for the sidewalk sale. This better allows for the safe passage of pedestrians across streets during the event. Access to public parking lots will not be affected.
Please note that vehicles left parked on Princess Street overnight on Friday, Sept. 11 or the morning of Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020 are subject to towing.
Check the Downtown Kingston! website and social media accounts for announcements of special offers.
