Lockdown lifted at Collins Bay Institution

The lockdown at the medium-security unit of Collins Bay Institution has been lifted following an exceptional search.

The lockdown was put in place on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in order for the exceptional search to take place. Some unauthorized items, including some weapons, were recovered as result of the search.

Normal operations have resumed at the Institution, and visits have resumed.
