Lockdown ended at Bath Institution

The lockdown put in place at Bath Institution earlier this week has now ended following the completion of an exceptional search.

The medium-security Institution was placed on lockdown on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 in order for staff members to preform the search. That search has been completed, and uncovered a number of unauthorized items, according to a press release from Correctional Service Canada (CSC). CSC would not expand on what those unauthorized items were.

The Institution has resumed its normal operations, and visits have resumed.
