Learn photography with local experts at KFPL’s Lens Masters series

Capture memories, express your creativity, and learn to see the world from a new perspective with a photography series at Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL).
According to a release from the library, every time you pick up a camera you have the opportunity to notice everything that surrounds you and frame it how you please, while making an image that may be treasured by generations to come. If you don’t know where to start or want to improve your photography skills, learn the fundamentals with KFPL’s Lens Masters series led by local photographers.
Join Garrett Elliott for the first three sessions on composition, exposure, and angles/points of view, then meet with Suzy Lamont for the final two sessions focusing on food and architecture. According to the release, sessions are happening Apr. 28, and May 5, 12, 19, and 25 with varying start times.
“Photography is such a dynamic artistic format with a deep sea of expertise,” said Jake Miller, Librarian, Adult Programming. “Offering this series led by local experts is a great learning opportunity for budding and veteran photographers.”
Participants will meet at the Central Branch, 130 Johnson Street, in the Friends of Library Gather Space. KFPL said that some sessions will involve leaving library property to visit local landmarks or businesses.
Interested participants can register by phone or by searching for a preferred session(s) on the KFPL program calendar at http://calendar.kfpl.ca.
