Those who use the LaSalle Causeway can expect delays overnight as lanes are reduced to allow for maintenance work.

According to Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), the lane reductions will take place overnight, beginning at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, and ending at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019.

“During this period, one lane will remain open in both directions and two flagpersons will be on site to control traffic. Motorists should expect short delays,” PSPC said in a press release.

“These reductions will not impact cyclists or pedestrians or cause any interruptions to marine traffic.”

PSPC said that the work schedule may change depending on the weather, and, with possible significant rainfall expected for the area, it is possible the work will take place a day later — possibly more if the rain persists.

“PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience,” the press release reads.

Kingstonist will continue to monitor this situation and update this article of any changes to the work schedule.
