L&A OPP to hold fundraiser for TTO on National Day for Truth and Recognition

To mark the National Day for Truth and Recognition and Every Child Matters/Orange Shirt Day on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, members of the Lennox & Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be hosting a fundraising barbecue with all proceeds going to the Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na Language and Cultural Centre in Tyendinaga.

According to a release from the OPP, the event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the L&A County OPP Detachment, 86 Advance Avenue in Greater Napanee.

“The OPP supports the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as part of an ongoing commitment to reconciliation through building relationships with Indigenous people and communities and implementing Indigenous-led changes that contribute to safe communities and a secure Ontario for all,” the police force stated.
