Napanee food banks will receive a boost later this month, after the Lennox & Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be hosting a “Cram the Cruiser” event in Greater Napanee.

On Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, Auxiliary Officers from the L&A Detachment will be collecting non-perishable food items to “Cram the Cruiser” at both the Metro (at 35 Alkenbrack Street) and Giant Tiger (at 13 Industrial Boulevard) in Greater Napanee.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at both locations, according to a release from OPP. Police ask area residents to please come out and help fill the cruiser with non-perishable food items. The items collected will be donated directly to the Morning Star Mission and Salvation Army in Greater Napanee, OPP said.
