Kingston woman arrested after unfamiliar car parked in South Frontenac driveway

Frontenac Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint from a home owner on Yarker Road shortly after 9 p.m, on Wednesday, Jan 20, 2021. According to the OPP, an unfamiliar vehicle was parked in the homeowner’s driveway.

As a result of the investigation Shelly Wood, a 42 year old from Kingston Ontario, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by drug
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

The accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released on an appearance notice to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston at a later date to answer to the charges. Wood will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
