Kingston west-end Tim Hortons closed due to COVID-19 case

A Tim Hortons restaurant in Kingston’s west end was closed temporarily due to a staff case of COVID-19, the company confirms.
“The Tim Hortons restaurant located at 460 Gardiners Rd, Kingston, Ontario is temporarily closed after a team member tested positive for COVID-19 on March 4,” said a company spokesperson in an email to Kingstonist.
Tim Hortons says that the team member’s last shift was on February 28. “We wish them well and look forward to seeing all team members once their self-isolation is complete,” the company said in the email.
Following guidelines set out by KFL&A Public Health, the restaurant was temporarily closed on Friday for cleaning and sanitization.
It has since re-opened, the company says, with limited operating hours between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m.
