Kingston Transit is adjusting their service beginning on Monday, May 25, 2020 to better support passengers making essential trips.
This adjustment will include expanded service hours from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on routes 501, 502, 601, 602, 701, 1 and 7. It will also include increased frequency from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on routes including 501, 502, 701, 702, 801, 802, 1, 4 and 7, and the addition of two temporary routes 1A and 3A to provide service in areas with higher passenger demand.
Updated schedules are available online and riders can plan their trips using Google Maps, TransitApp or Moovit.
Kingston Transit will be continuing their safety precautions, so capacity will still be limited, and transit should only be used for essential trips. Increased sanitizing practices are being employed on all common touch points on the buses, and riders are asked to board and exit buses through the back doors whenever possible.
