The Kingston Symphony Volunteers (KSV) are ready to open the doors to their Vinyl Records Sale this weekend. Starting Thursday, Apr. 20, 2023, the fundraising sale is sure to have albums to satisfy everyone’s musical tastes.

The biannual sale is an opportunity for buyers and collectors to “find treasures and congregate at the Kingston Symphony Warehouse (785 Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, Unit 7A) to discuss their favourite artists/albums/songs,” the organization said in a media release.

This year will feature a number of pieces of vintage gear from the 20s in addition to the usual cornucopia of CDs and LPs, Kingston Symphony noted. For movie and TV buffs, the selection of DVDs and Blu-rays is vast, with blockbuster films and classic television series. According to the release, shoppers are sure to find great individual picks and collectible box sets — add to that a stack of LaserDiscs and you have wares that will “entice just about anybody.”

The Symphony noted that hundreds of volunteer hours have been spent sorting and setting up for the sale. “For the love of music, and in support of the Kingston Symphony, please drop by and buy!” the organization asked.

Kingston Symphony noted that masks must be worn while in the warehouse, as there is limited space at the Vinyl Records Sale, and the potential for large crowds. They will have masks on hand for those who arrive without one.
