Kingston road closures and traffic delays, week ending Jan 10 2020

The following is a selection of the most significant road closures and expected traffic delays in and around the city of Kingston for the week ending January 10, 2020. Full lists of closures and delays provided by the City of Kingston and the MTO can be viewed here and here.
Corrigan Street will be closed Rideau to Bagot on Jan. 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for gas construction work by Utilities Kingston.
Frontenac Street from Jenkins to Princess St will be closed until June 27 to allow for framing, masonry and interior work for 501 Frontenac St.
Expect lane closures on the 401 at Highway 38/Gardiners Road until November 2020, and delays of up to 10 minutes nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the westbound 401.
Jackson Mills Road from Bur Brook Road to 400m south (near the K&P Trail) will continue to be reduced to one lane for roadside safety improvements. Both directions remain open.
Expect delays on John Counter Boulevard from Princess to Indian Rd until the summer of 2021 while crews construct a new four-lane road and rail overpass. Using an alternate route is recommended.
Expect minor delays on Leroy Grant Drive until mid-January as a contractor replaces a gas main on behalf of Utilities Kingston.
