Kingston resident facing multiple charges after vehicle theft

A local resident is facing charges after Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a stolen motor vehicle in the area.
On Wednesday, Mar. 1, 2023, at approximately 9:10 a.m., the Central Hastings Detachment responded to the complaint of the stolen vehicle, which was being tracked by its owner, travelling into the Central Hastings area, according to a release from the OPP.
As a result of the investigation, the OPP said that Hollie Johnston, 37 years old of the city of Kingston, has been charged with:
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Possession of an automobile master key
- Driving while under suspension
Johnston was released on an Undertaking with a first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville scheduled for the end of March 2023.
