Kingston resident arrested in Quinte West for drug trafficking

A Kingston resident has been arrested on drug trafficking charges after he was stopped by OPP due to stolen license plates in Quinte West.
On May 20, 2020 OPP officers conducted a traffic stop in the City of Quinte West, initially arresting the driver in relation to the use of stolen licence plates. During the investigation, officers seized a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, cannabis and Canadian currency.
Spencer St Amand, 30 years old of Kingston was arrested and charged with:
Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
Fail to comply with probation – three counts
Breach of recognizance – two counts
St Amand is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on July 20, 2020.
