Kingston Police seeking witnesses to attempted robbery

Kingston Police are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation of an attempted robbery on Monday night.
On Monday, Sept. 23, 2019 a citizen, the victim of the alleged crime, was walking on the east sidewalk of Armstrong Road at the railroad tracks north of Bath Road. At approximately 9:30 p.m. an unknown assailant pushed her to the ground and pinned her down while the suspect rummaged through her back pack. The suspect fled at the sound of an approaching bus. The suspect’s direction is not known. Multiple Kingston Police units attended the scene, including a K-9 unit, but the assailant was not located.The suspect is described as a white male with medium build, wearing black shoes, dark pants and a heavy dark coloured sweater. The suspect failed to obtain any property and the victim suffered minor injuries.
