Update: Kingston Police seeking public assistance to locate missing youth
UPDATE (Monday, Jul. 22, 2019): Mya Hartwick has been located safely. Kingston Police confirmed the youth was located, and thanked the public for their assistance.
Kingston Police are concerned for the safety of a missing youth and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating her.
Police say Mya Hartwick, 12 years old, left her home during the late hours of July 19th. Mya was then seen on Sunday, July 21 around 7 p.m. at the bus depot at the Kingston Shopping Centre, but fled the area.
At that time, Mya was wearing a yellow shirt, blue and white shorts, and she was carrying a purple bag and pillows.
Mya is described as 5’0 tall, weighing 110 lbs., of medium build, with dark brown long hair and brown eyes.
According to family, Mya regularly frequents the Rideau Heights area in Kingston’s north end, Sexton Place in Kingston’s west end, and also regularly visits the Cataraqui Centre.
